Beyond her legal training, Alexa holds a degree in journalism which trained her to distill information into concise and compelling narratives and enables her to present complex concepts that are easily understood. Her passion for clear and effective communication is evident in both her oral advocacy and strong writing and research skills, allowing her to provide practical advice that resonates with clients.
Prior to joining Massey LLP, Alexa completed her articling at a leading Bay Street business law firm, where she gained invaluable experience working in her practice areas.
She has also demonstrated a strong commitment to community involvement through her work volunteering with Downtown Legal Services (DLS) and Advocates for Injured Workers (AIW). While studying at the University of Toronto, Alexa was senior news editor of Ultra Vires student newspaper, and executive member of In Vino Veritas, the University of Toronto’s wine tasting group.

Alexa is an active member of associations including the Ontario Bar Association (OBA), the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) and the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (FACL). She is also a member of the Law Society of Ontario (LSO).
Awards and Accolades
Alexa was a member of a team that won the top law school and best factum awards at the Refugee, Immigration and Citizenship Law Moot.
Education
Alexa earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) in 2022 from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law.
She is also a graduate of the University of Hong Kong in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism), first class honours.
Alexa was admitted to the Bar of Ontario in 2023.
Personal Stuff
Alexa brings a well-rounded perspective to her legal practice, with a range of interests and experiences outside of her professional life. She enjoys indulging in her passion for baking and cooking, experimenting with new recipes and flavours. She also prioritizes her physical well-being through activities like pilates.
In her leisure time, Alexa finds solace in water sports, particularly swimming. Additionally, Alexa’s adventurous spirit has taken her on remarkable journeys around the globe, including witnessing the Northern Lights in Sweden and embarking on a white-water rafting expedition in Thailand.
